808stats is an independent UH volleyball research demo. Guided queries do not require an account.

When you sign in

We store the basic profile name, provider-specific identifier and email supplied by Google or Facebook in Cloudflare D1. We use these only to recognize your account. No social posts, contacts, passwords or payment information are requested.

Invited password accounts

For an invited email/password account, we store your email and a salted password verifier protected by a separate server secret. We do not store the readable password. Sign-in attempts are rate limited. Deleting your account also removes its password verifier.

Sessions and cookies

A secure, HTTP-only cookie keeps you signed in for up to seven days. A temporary cookie protects the sign-in flow. Cloudflare processes network requests and sampled operational logs to run and protect the site. We do not add advertising or analytics cookies.

Delete your account

Sign in, open Your account information and select Delete my 808stats account. This removes your stored member profile and sign-in sessions. It does not delete your Google or Facebook account. You can also revoke 808stats access in that provider’s connected-app settings.

AI questions and data sharing

When a question uses AI, your question, relevant public statistics and the AI reply are shared with OpenAI. We participate in OpenAI’s data-sharing program, so that material may be used to improve and train its models. We do not send your account name, email, password or sign-in details. Do not include private, confidential or sensitive information in a question. OpenAI’s data-handling and retention policies apply. You can use guided statistics without sending an AI question.

Daily usage records

We store an account-linked question count, date and API usage information to enforce 10 questions per Hawaiʻi calendar day and the site’s spending limits. We do not store your original question text. We keep hashes of question wording and validated public query plans, plus reusable public sports statistics and explanations, in a shared cache for up to seven days. A completed public answer may also be retained with a request identifier for up to one day so a network retry does not use another question. Account details and remaining allowances are kept outside shared cache entries. Deleting your account removes the link between your identity and retained usage records; it does not recall material already shared with OpenAI. Statistics

Published sports statistics include source links and coverage limitations. Account information is separate from the public statistics.
